CAD Technician

Garver is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our Federal Services Team. This position will be responsible for performing a wide array of duties for civil/site projects, including initial project CAD setup, site layouts, utility layouts, rough grading, detailing, record drawing development, and coordination with multi-discipline teams. The CAD Technician will also be trained to conduct BUILDER SMS inventories and assessments to help our defense clients remain mission-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CAD setup and site layouts for civil/site projects
- Develop utility layouts, rough grading, and detailing
- Conduct record drawing development and coordination with multi-discipline teams
- Train to conduct BUILDER SMS inventories and assessments
Requirements:
- 0-3 years of drafting experience working in site development
- Associates or 2-year technical degree
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Strong communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Prepared to learn BUILDER SMS
Preferred Skills:
- Technical knowledge and field experience with BUILDER SMS
- Plan/Profile development
- Storm and Sanitary Sewer pipe networks
- Development of existing and proposed surfaces
- Working knowledge of GIS software
