Travel Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Job in Rochester, Michigan

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist for a travel opportunity in Rochester, Michigan.

Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients. You will work under general supervision and may perform general diagnostic radiology examinations.

Responsibilities
  • Explain examination procedure to patients and prepare patient for the examination.
  • Review clinical data on requisition and perform appropriate examination. Obtain additional information about the patient medical history as necessary.
  • Prepare procedure room and regularly replenish stock such as linen and related supplies.
  • Analyze anatomical structure of patient, set up equipment and perform the CT scan.
  • Manually control the equipment to obtain the proper diagnostic information from the area of the body being studied.
  • Administer intravenous contrast media to including utilization of power injectors. Monitor patient for possible reactions as appropriate to the study and provide immediate care to patient if a reaction should occur.
  • May prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies required for the procedure to be performed. Ensure the adequate supplies are on hand and properly stored.
  • Assist Radiologist in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
  • Perform all imaging procedures by demonstrating the principles of radiation protection: may involve shielding of patients, selection of appropriate equipment settings to reduction dose, using other ALARA techniques, etc.

To be successful as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you must have:

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $61,650 per year, based on 40 hours per week and an hourly rate of $30.50. The salary includes a tax-free stipend of $1,246 per week.
