About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team for a greenfield substation project in Reno, NV. The successful candidate will have experience in managing EPC type projects in high voltage transmission, distribution, and substation construction. The role involves overseeing the planning, directing, and coordinating of all construction activities, including direct reports, customers, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead budget projections for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractors procured on the project.
  • Ensure project costs stay within the forecasted budget range and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Develop and manage project Schedule of Values (SOV), update based on production, prepare billing packages, and submit to the customer.
  • Assist in pre-construction efforts, including bid preparation, contract and exhibit review, and execution planning.
  • Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly projections and progress for all construction activities.
  • Provide project cost forecasting, monthly cost to complete development, and accuracy of reporting.
  • Develop, submit, track, and maintain all project submittals and requests for information.
  • Review cost reports and evaluate methods to reduce costs while maintaining productivity.
  • Responsible for the invoicing or payment application process for completed scope.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience in high-voltage electric transmission and distribution construction or a related field.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly strong Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with project management software is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and switch directions as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or business, or a related field is required. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
