Property Valuation Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Valuation Specialist to join our team in Davis County, Utah. As a key member of our assessment team, you will be responsible for conducting technical assessments of real property, including vacant land, condominiums, and commercial parcels.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections of properties to determine their value, taking into account factors such as architectural quality and intended use.
  • Appraise all types of real property using current appraisal techniques and computer systems.
  • Prepare complex narrative appraisals that conform to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
  • Develop land models with values for all classes of property, through collection and verification of vacant land sales.
  • Use computer programs to identify appraisal problems and inconsistencies, and make modifications to queries for individual properties.
  • Assist in training new residential appraisers.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two to four years of full-time experience as a real property appraiser.
  • Possession of licensure as a Licensed, Certified Residential or Certified General appraiser with the Utah State Department of Commerce.
  • Ability to obtain Ad Valorem Real Property Appraiser Designation (Residential or General) by the Utah State Tax Commission within eighteen months of hire date.
