About Us

The Ericsson Silicon engineering unit develops state-of-the-art ASICs and FPGAs targeting the newest technology nodes. Our team is dedicated to defining methodologies and EDA workflows across global R&D sites in Austin, Stockholm, and Lund.

What You Will Do

To excel in this high-visibility role, we seek individuals with a background in ASIC IP/ASIC SOC development, a profound interest in system-on-chip design & verification, and a deep interest in methodologies and tools increasing efficiency of our global engineering community.

You will be responsible for:

  • Shaping and optimizing methodologies and EDA workflows
  • Ensuring seamless adoption of industry best practices for crafting efficient System on Chips (SoCs)
  • Fostering cross-functional collaboration among design, verification, testing, and manufacturing teams
  • Troubleshooting technical challenges during the silicon design process
Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, deploying, and supporting complex tool flows in Frontend Design & Verification
  • Innovating design processes and methodologies
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration among teams
  • Implementing processes for ensuring quality of silicon design, including rigorous design reviews, testing methodologies, and quality assurance practices
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Hands-on experience in ASIC IP/ASIC SoC design, RTL, Verilog, UVM, and System Verilog
  • Exposure to front-end tools, including Verilog simulators, RTL/Verification linters, clock domain crossing checkers
  • Familiarity with synthesis, static timing analysis, Design-For-Test (DFT), and System-Verilog assertions
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, bash, csh, etc.
  • Some understanding of modern design methodologies and techniques
