Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Bicycle Reliability Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our MetroBike program by maintaining a fleet of bicycles, e-bikes, and stations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bicycle repair and maintenance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain and clean the battery charging locations, non-revenue vehicles, and warehouse spaces to ensure the safety of the team and proper care of program assets.
  • Operate a non-revenue van or other non-revenue vehicle to move bicycles, charge and swap batteries on e-bikes, and clean stations and bicycles.
  • Support special events and provide assistance to customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the System Reliability Technician IIs and IIIs to ensure the success of complex operations and projects.
  • Maintain MetroBike facilities to a high standard of cleanliness, including disposing of debris and power washing areas around stations and docks.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to complete a driver safety course provided by Capital Metro within the first 90 days.
  • Two years of experience with bicycle repair and use.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid driver's license for the past three years. A Class B CDL is preferred.
  • The ability to pass an agility test and physical exam.
