Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Advocate Health. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients accurately and efficiently in our electronic medical record system
  • Coordinate scheduling of patient appointments and ensure timely communication with patients and staff
  • Answer multiple incoming phone lines and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Distribute communications accurately and efficiently, including pagers, faxes, and emails
  • Resolve patient questions and concerns in a timely and effective manner
  • Schedule future appointments and requisitions, laboratory tests, and other special diagnostic tests as needed
  • Notify patient care areas when patients have arrived and are ready to be seen
  • Accurately identify and verify patient insurance information
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One to two years of customer service experience preferred
  • Experience handling difficult customer interactions
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical record systems and scheduling software
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
