Job Summary

The Phlebotomist 2 plays a vital role in the delivery of exceptional patient care by collecting and processing quality specimens in a safe manner, adhering to BSWH policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process specimens in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through professional and ethical conduct.
  • Perform clerical duties and assist with training and auditing of behaviors and performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve department goals and promote continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of laboratory protocols and procedures, as well as safety and infection control standards.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate instructions, and to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Statistical and critical thinking abilities, as well as skill in the use of computers and related software applications.
  • Donor Phlebotomy Tech certification from a recognized agency, such as ASCP, NPA, or ASPT.

Qualifications
