The Housing Associate will establish and maintain a safe and supportive environment for staff and residents of the shelter. They will effectively support ongoing and collaborative communication amongst all program staff and ensure a trauma-informed care environment.

We offer a competitive salary, starting at $17.25 per hour, with additional compensation for relevant years of experience. The Housing Associate will oversee the operation of the residence, conduct intakes for individuals entering the residence, and act as a liaison with other community service providers/referral sources. They will also provide information and referral service for telephone inquiries, supervise meal preparation by residents, and provide crisis intervention and conflict management. Additionally, the Housing Associate will maintain record-keeping responsibilities, notify Residence Managers of emergency situations, and assist with providing support and direction for clients and volunteers engaged in program activities.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They will also have basic computer skills and be proficient in using database systems.
