Puro Gusto Café is seeking a skilled Restaurant Shift Manager to lead our front-of-house team. As a key member of our management staff, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of management experience in a high-volume environment, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and managing cash handling processes. You will be proficient in point of sale systems, coffee equipment, and food preparation, with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run shifts with customers at the core: execute staffing plans, manage breaks, perform food safety checks, complete cleaning tasks, and maintain cash integrity.
  • Solve problems in the moment: maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events, adjust to challenges, identify teachable moments, and provide coaching as needed.
  • Create the environment: promote engagement and pride, encourage teamwork, focus on creating moments of connection, and set a positive tone for the shift.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of closely related management experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of point of sale systems, coffee equipment, and food preparation.
  • Proficient ability to manage staff as large as 8 partners.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to lift and move up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Effective oral and interpersonal skills.
