Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate In-Home Support Specialist to join our team at The Arc Eastern Connecticut.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 2:30pm. As an In-Home Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing individualized support and care to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in their homes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist individuals with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning, personal care, and facilitating community involvement.
  • Provide transportation to recreational and community activities, and support therapeutic and behavioral plans.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior experience working with people who have developmental and physical disabilities preferred.
  • Able to mentor and assist individuals in all areas of life skills including recreation, independence, communication, and health.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
