Avionics Integration Lead for Global Surveillance

At Northrop Grumman, we are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Integration Lead to join our team in Melbourne, Florida. This role is part of the Global Surveillance Division within the Aeronautics Sector and will support a new program within Multi-Domain Command and Control (MDC2).

The successful candidate will be responsible for technical oversight of all Avionics Integration activities, ensuring that the program and its suppliers adhere to sound engineering principles. They will also ensure that work products are thorough, of high quality, and compliant with project contract requirements.

This position requires strong leadership skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment and possess effective communication and presentation skills to all levels. The ideal candidate will have prior leadership experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional Avionics Engineering teams in technical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into requirements and drawing systems
  • Act as key approver for program and technical review boards representing Avionics Engineering requirements
  • Overall execution, staffing, performance, and reporting on cost, schedule, and technical statuses
  • Develop AVI metrics to support program and technical status
  • Work with Chief Engineer to support a robust Risk and Opportunity program
  • Serve as Cost Account Manager and oversee all AVI CAMs
  • Generate Basis of Estimates in support of future proposal efforts
  • Apply agile processes to support program/task and develop assignment of tasks
  • Support Supplier and program deep dives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 9 years of related engineering experience or Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of related engineering experience
  • Experience working Avionics system and subsystem development, integration, and test
  • Strong technical understanding of mission systems
  • Prior leadership experience with ability to lead cross-functional Avionics Engineering teams
  • CAM/EVMS experience
  • Active DoD Secret clearance and ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance

Salary Range: $161,500 - $242,300 per annum. Note: Salary may vary based on individual qualifications and experience.
