Job Description Summary:
Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute healthcare settings. The RN accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care provided to assigned patients.
- Provide professional nursing care services to patients according to department policies and nursing care standards.
- Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio
- BLS certification
- BSN required at 5 years of employment
Work Environment:
Variable work shift and 1 scheduled weekly hour in the Emergency Department at OhioHealth.
