Mitchell Martin is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and operating advanced medical imaging equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Treatment of patients: Arrange treatment appointments, deliver radiation to patients in accordance with physician's instructions, and operate all types of radiotherapy equipment.
  • Pre-Treatment Preparation: Operate simulator for localization of tumor size and position, take contours and collect all physical factors for treatment plans, and perform dosimetry for treatment plans.
  • Patient Care Activities: Recognize all types of radiation reactions and provide proper care and instructions to patients, educate patients with respect to radiation therapy reactions and life style modifications, and instruct incoming Residents and technologists in the use of equipment.
  • Maintenance and Quality Assurance: Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of radiation therapy equipment and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required, Graduate of accredited Radiologic program required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience as an x-ray tech, Certification in the operation of Radiologic equipment and treatment required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Radiologic equipment in use, good patient interpersonal skills, ability to read and speak English, and ability to fully utilize electronic record systems, equipment, and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.
