We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Highmark Health. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex laboratory analyses on clinical specimens in one or more sections of the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of routine and complex procedures using established criteria to provide quality clinical information.
- Verify analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and linearity for test methods.
- Operate, calibrate, check, and maintain instrumentation.
- Provide oversight and mentorship to laboratory technicians, phlebotomists, and students.
- Serve as a consultant to medical laboratory technicians and other healthcare providers.
- Bachelor's degree in an ASCP eligible program.
- MLS, MT, Categorical or Specialty ASCP Certification, required within 1 year of hire (if located in Pennsylvania).
