Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal RF Design Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Receiver, Exciter, and Back-End Processing (REBEP) Department, you will be responsible for designing and developing the next generation of Raytheon's Radar Receiver, Exciter, and Transmitter products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement RF system architectures, requirements analysis, and hardware design.
  • Design and optimize RF circuits, including transmitters, receivers, and exciters.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of power, digital, mechanical, and other systems.
  • Provide technical support during production transition and support activities.
  • Manage cost and schedule, and participate in proposal writing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years' experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years' experience.
  • Experience with Microwave/RF system, subsystem, and/or component analysis, design, and/or test.
  • Proficiency in electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, ADS, CST, and/or Mentor Graphics' Xpedition) and analytical tools (e.g., MATLAB).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience translating system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications.
  • Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, including yield and margin analysis.
  • Problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges.
  • Experience in technical writing and oral presentations.
