About the Job

As a Deputy Sheriff II-Certified, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of patrol duties to enforce laws and ordinances, while protecting the general public's constitutional rights.

Job Description

This is a law enforcement position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to:

  • Enforce various laws and ordinances in designated areas
  • Work from rotating shift patrol assignments
  • Operate a patrol vehicle in a designated area of Eddy County, NM

You must be able to perform all duties with minimal supervision and may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A valid police certification
  • A clean driving record dated within the last 30 days
  • The ability to pass a background check
