Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Dallas Retirement Village. As a Senior Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
  • Follow established care plans, promoting resident participation and effort.
  • Recognize and report observations and problems to the Charge Nurse promptly, ensuring timely interventions and resolutions.
  • Keep confidential information about residents safe and secure.
  • Accept direction from supervisors and work collaboratively with other staff members.
  • Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and participate in inservice training and education sessions.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a CNA in Oregon (or ability to obtain within four months of hire).
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
  • Capacity to document care given and maintain accurate records.
  • Able to lift 35 pounds, transfer, turn, and position residents weighing up to 125 pounds unassisted, or with assistance for heavier residents.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
