Nurse Educator Trainer Role

At Bethesda Health, we are seeking a skilled Nurse Educator Trainer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced nursing professional to contribute to the development of our staff and promote high-quality care.

About the Job

The Nurse Educator Trainer will be responsible for designing and implementing orientation programs that emphasize regulatory issues in long-term care. They will also oversee various staff training activities, including managing infection prevention programs, collaborating on quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement corporate-approved orientation programs for all employees, focusing on regulatory issues surrounding long-term care and company values.
  • Conduct general orientations using corporate guidelines, incorporating relevant OSHA and federal and state regulations into the program.
  • Coordinate and monitor orientation activities throughout the orientation process.
  • Provide input into the evaluation of orientees and recommend release from or extension of orientation based on evaluation of learning needs.
  • Assist with mentorship programs and promote a culture of staff development.
  • Develop lesson plans and conduct in-service programs, including mandatory in-services.
  • Teach staff basic computer skills related to their job duties and instruct them on how to access and use online education programs as part of the overall in-service education program.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • BSN or related baccalaureate preparation in education preferred
  • Current RN license in Missouri and Illinois
  • CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
  • Certified as a CPR instructor highly desirable
  • Minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience required
  • Educational and supervisory/management experience preferred
  • Previous experience in long-term care required

Benefits and Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as 403b, daily pay, bonuses, career advancement opportunities, and holiday pay. Medical, dental, vision, prescription, and life insurance are also available for regular status full and part-time employees.
