About the Role

Baystate Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of the surgeon/physician to facilitate the surgical process, maintaining a sterile and aseptic environment.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the surgical environment, including the setup and positioning of equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team, including the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and nurses, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgeon/physician, adapting to changing circumstances during the procedure.
  • Participate in the maintenance of a safe and efficient surgical environment, adhering to infection control practices and protocols.
Requirements
  • Associates of Science in Surgical Technology or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in a surgical facility, with a focus on surgical technology.
