Job Description

The Senior HR Business Partner will play a key role in providing daily tactical and strategic support to the organization's people and organizational development strategies. This individual will partner closely with leadership and the Virtus Investment Partners' HR organization to carry out responsibilities in areas such as talent acquisition, employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, compensation, and talent management.

This role requires an experienced candidate who is well-versed in human resource tasks, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.">
  3. Partner with business teams to support efforts related to performance management and employee relations.">
  4. Execute diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) strategies on behalf of KAR and collaborate with Virtus on firm-wide initiatives.">
  5. Participate in new employee orientation to successfully onboard new hires.">
  6. Collaborate with Virtus HR and KAR leadership on compensation plan management, including design, documentation, and communication.">
  7. Network within the marketplace to understand competitive market practices and identify opportunities to enhance brand image and professional development.">
  8. Drive learning and development for KAR and partner with Virtus on workshop curricula.">
  9. Coordinate HR-related RFP responses and reporting.">
  10. Represent HR in institutional sales and client service meetings.">
  11. Design and manage the College Rotation program with Virtus' learning and development team.">
  12. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.">
  13. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment.">
  14. Collaborate with Virtus' talent acquisition team on talent pipelining and recruitment.">
  15. Analyze data to measure HR program effectiveness and inform strategy.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or an equivalent field.">
  • At least 7-10 years of progressive HR experience in the financial services industry.">
  • Supervisory experience preferred.">
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.">
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations, with a focus on California employment law.">
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate when necessary, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.">
  • Technical skills, including Microsoft Office and HCM systems like Workday.">
