Maine Medical Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the role of Ambulatory Care Specialist. This position requires a skilled professional who can deliver high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
Job SummaryThe Ambulatory Care Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in outpatient settings. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and educating patients and families on health maintenance and disease management.
Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Provide direct patient care in outpatient settings, including administering medications, performing procedures, and conducting physical examinations
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease management
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care setting
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $$90,000 per year, based on industry standards and market conditions.
