Speech Language Pathologist Job Opportunity

Soar Autism Center is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Job Summary:

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Soar Autism Center, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve the communication abilities of children aged 2-6, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques and instruments.

You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care. You will also actively involve families in the treatment process by providing them with education, resources, and support to foster their child's speech and language development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve the communication abilities of children aged 2-6
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
  • Actively involve families in the treatment process
  • Regularly evaluate and document the progress of each child
Qualifications:

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist with a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program. You should be licensed to practice speech pathology in the state of Arizona or Colorado. Preference will be given to candidates with 3+ years of experience, but we are also open to new Speech Language Pathologists starting their career.

We value candidates with prior experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) or a willingness to learn from our clinical teams. You should embody a playful spirit and the ability to connect and engage with young children.
