Pediatric ICU Clinical Nurse Supervisor: Leadership Role for Compassionate Caregivers

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Medical City Dallas.
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit during your designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, you will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serve as a resource person for staff, and model a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support engagement efforts by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
Nursing Leadership Role: As a CNC, you will be responsible for managing labor in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines. You will also assist with staff scheduling, proper inventory control, and managing supplies and equipment.
Required Qualifications:- BSN required; MSN preferred.
- Texas RN license or compact license accepted.
- Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Minimum two years of PICU RN experience in an acute care hospital.
