Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Relief Mental Health. As a key member of our clinical leadership, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of innovative mental health programs.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric nursing or as a physician assistant, with experience in medication management and treatment planning. You will work closely with our psychiatrist and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients suffering from mental health conditions. Your expertise and leadership skills will enable you to develop and implement effective treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and communicate effectively with staff, family, and patients.
Responsibilities- Administer intranasal esketamine (Spravato) and monitor patients during mandated monitoring times.
- Assess patients for appropriateness of Spravato treatment through patient consults.
- Provide Psychiatric medication management to existing and new patients.
- Work in tandem with our Psychiatrist to conduct follow-ups and recommend new patients for TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation).
- Facilitate drug and pregnancy tests as necessary.
- Conduct consultations for Medication Management as well as routine follow-up visits.
- Perform patient evaluations and assessments as necessary.
- Treatment plan development.
- Monitoring progress of patients.
- Communication with staff, family, and patients.
- Collaborate with clinical staff as well as other department leads.
- Serve as the primary onsite provider for the Clinic utilizing a clinical assistant, collaborating with in-house therapists, consulting with the clinic manager, and collaborating with our psychiatrist.
- Actively work with leadership to recommend new modalities, implement new programs, and provide the most innovative care available.
- PMHNP or Psychiatric certification preferred but will consider candidates with relevant experience.
- Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or certified Physician Assistant with an applicable state license.
- Must have an active license and DEA #.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and their loved ones.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership experience with emphasis on teamwork in a healthcare setting.
- Competitive Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 per year based on experience.
