Job Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Medical Collector Specialist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.

Compensation Package

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit commercial and Medicaid claims accurately, working through aging buckets.
  • Verify patient insurance details, including eligibility and authorization.
  • Explain insurance coverage and billing questions to patients.
  • Post payments and reconcile with billed amounts.
  • Monitor and resolve outstanding claims, denials, and rejections.
  • Communicate with payers to address claim issues and resubmit as necessary.
  • Prioritize follow-up based on aging and value.
  • Identify and manage discrepancies or underpayments.
  • Address patient and insurance company inquiries and disputes.
  • Maintain organized accounts receivable records.
  • Generate and share AR metrics reports.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements for efficient revenue cycle management.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in medical accounts receivable or medical billing is required.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards success.
  • Familiarity with medical billing software, coding systems, and insurance claim procedures.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare compliance regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, insurance providers, and patients.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
