Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the respiratory needs of patients and develop and implement individualized Respiratory Care Plans.
  • Apply and operate acute care ventilators for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient therapy and enter information into the hospital computer system.
  • Perform procedures with care and empathy for patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Requirements
  • Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 6 months of hire.
  • Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
  • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills.
