Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in an outpatient setting. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and provide patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Implement treatment plans established by Physical Therapists with age-specific considerations.
- Perform clinical responsibilities in a manner that provides effective patient care while achieving optimal outcomes.
- Respond to treatment plans and initiate discussions with other medical team members as needed.
- Communicate patient progress and education to families and other healthcare members.
- Participate in patient/family educational programs and document education and training.
- Utilize supplies and equipment in a fiscally responsible manner and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Participate in supervision of studies and actively identify needs for improvement in the work environment.
- Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, and sound judgment.
- Ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
- Current licensure in the State of Pennsylvania as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting and to rotate shifts, including evenings and weekends. The incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need and may be required to travel between Independence Health locations.
