About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team in Saint Ansgar, IA.

Job Summary

This part-time evening shift position involves preparing and serving high-quality food to patients/residents, staff, and visitors while adhering to food quality standards and safety protocols. The successful candidate will have the ability to cook, function, and thrive in a dynamic culinary environment, following standardized recipes and Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and serve meals according to menu and dietary requirements.
  2. Maintain labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery.
  3. Operate various kitchen equipment, including mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, stovetops, induction burners, grills, deep fat fryers, knives, dishwashers, garbage disposals, refrigerators, and freezers.
  4. Work independently when necessary and collaborate with internal customers.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • A minimum of six months of applicable experience (on-the-job training will be provided).
  • Possession of ServSafe certification (depending on location).
