Operating Room Position at Alaska Regional Hospital

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Operating Room (OR) nurse to join our team at Alaska Regional Hospital. As an OR nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team in the OR department, contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care and outcomes.
  • You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless surgical processes.
  • Your expertise in orthopedic surgery, particularly in total joints, neuro, and robotics, will be invaluable to our team.
  • We require a flexible and adaptable individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 13 weeks' experience in orthopedic surgery, preferably with exposure to total joints, neuro, and robotics.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends, with occasional call shifts (approximately 15 per month).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues and patients.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
