Clinical Educator Job Description

The Clinical Educator plays a pivotal role in advancing healthcare education and professional development within our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating education programs that promote evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver education programs that cater to the diverse needs of our nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to identify learning gaps and develop targeted education initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of education programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Mentor and support nursing staff in their professional development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Requirements:

  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in nursing, with 3 years of department/unit/specialty-specific experience.
  • Previous educational nursing instructor experience is a plus.
  • Current Vermont RN licensure and/or Advanced Practice licensure in Vermont.
  • Unit-specific training certifications as required.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialty certification in Nursing Professional Development.
  • Unit-specific certification within two years of hire.
