Salary RangeThe estimated annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $85,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
Job Description- This role requires a highly skilled leader who can oversee day-to-day department operations in a retail store, ensuring associates are trained, departments are fully staffed, and all company goals and key performance indicators are met.
- Inventory Management: Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory in the department, utilizing inventory control procedures to ensure product freshness and quality.
- Team Management: Manage a team that completes all stocking, production, and additional tasks to ensure product quality, production planning, accuracy, and date-sensitive rotation.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain familiarity with all products carried in the department as well as throughout the store, including advertised items, special prices, coupon deals, or other features that apply to sales and rewards programs.
- Scheduling and Labor Control: Follow company policies and timelines using required tools and software to manage scheduling according to forecasted guidelines, implementing and maintaining work schedules, labor control, overtime control, and payroll expense for the department.
- Department Goals: Develop and monitor department goals, forecasts, and performance metrics, attending daily huddles, manager meetings, district, and company-level meetings via phone, online, or in-person as required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required, with two years of retail experience preferred, one-year supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication, bookkeeping skills, good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict management skills are necessary.
- Leadership abilities, capability to work in a hands-on environment, strategic planning, and business acumen skills are also essential.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required, with Spanish language skills desirable depending on company location.
