Job Description

Lead the charge in safeguarding Golden 1's digital landscape as a Strategic IT Security Director.

About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned security expert to oversee our organization's IT security initiatives. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing robust security measures to protect our infrastructure, data, and members.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead enterprise-wide security efforts, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive security strategies, including risk management, incident response, and compliance.
  • Liaise with senior leadership to drive security initiatives and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
  • Maintain a proactive stance against emerging threats, continuously scanning our environment for vulnerabilities and remediating potential weaknesses.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, fostering open communication and collaboration to advance our security posture.
  • Prioritize critical issues, streamlining decision-making processes and ensuring timely resolutions to complex security challenges.
  • Conduct regular security audits, assessing our controls and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry developments, ensuring our organization remains compliant and competitive.
  • Provide thought leadership on security matters, driving innovation and best practices throughout the organization.
  • Build and maintain professional networks, establishing strategic partnerships to enhance our security capabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Credit Union's strategic goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in information security, preferably at a financial institution.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful security strategies, with a focus on risk management and compliance.
  • Extensive knowledge of security technologies, tools, and mitigation techniques.
  • Superb leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A current and valid California driver's license.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $193,600 - $242,000 per annum, based on your qualifications and experience.
