Dental Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at PrimeCare Community Health. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of procedures performed by dental staff and assist dentist(s) in all phases of dentistry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dentist(s) chair side in all phases of dentistry and manage patient behavior during treatment
- Operate dental radiographic equipment for the purpose of oral radiology; taking diagnostic quality x-rays, developing, and mounting correctly as requested by the dentist(s)
- Follow infection control protocols as specified by professional, state and federal standards
- Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions following dental procedures
- Document treatment and patient information in dental software program
Requirements:
- Ability to assist dentist in all phases of dentistry, and take diagnostic intra-oral x-rays
- Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively present information to others, including other employees, community partners, and vendors
- Ability to work independently with little onsite supervision, using professional judgment and diplomacy
- Work in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills and ability to effectively work with people from diverse backgrounds and to be culturally sensitive
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of certified Dental Assisting Training Program
- Current provider-level BLS CPR certification
- Knowledge of proper use of all dental materials and dental equipment and ability to assist dentist
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Coronal Polishing certification and Sealants certification

Salary:
All wages are based on relevant years of experience and time since completing a Dental Assisting program, if relevant. The minimum rate is the wage that a newly graduated Medical Assistant will earn. The range is larger than normal, as there is variation depending on valid certifications earned.
COVID vaccinations are a requirement for PrimeCare Community Health. Proof of full vaccination is required prior to the start date of employment.
