Overview

CF Industries is a leading global producer of nitrogen products, ammonia, and urea. As an Operations Superintendent Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient production of our products.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as an Operations Superintendent Manager. This position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Ammonia Plant, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining a strong focus on safety and environmental stewardship.

Main Responsibilities

  • Safety First: Emphasize the importance of safety in all aspects of plant operations, fostering a culture where employees feel empowered to speak up and report any concerns.
  • Effective Leadership: Develop and maintain effective relationships with other departments to ensure seamless collaboration and achieve departmental objectives.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting open communication and employee engagement.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement changes, and measure their impact on plant performance.
  • Succession Planning: Develop and execute a succession plan for the Unit's operations leadership, ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities.
  • Budgeting and Reporting: Prepare and administer the department budget, collaborate with the Production Manager to develop short- and long-term plans, and provide regular progress reports.
  • Training and Development: Oversee the progression and training planning for operation technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical) or related field.
  • Experience: Proven supervisory experience in chemical manufacturing processes, with a strong background in project management and implementation.
  • Skills:
    • Leadership: Effective leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
    • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to compose clear and concise written documents and interact effectively with peers and supervisors.
    • Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
