MSA Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Graduate Engineer II to join our team in the Des Moines, IA office. As a key member of our Building Service Line, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects from start to finish, making a significant and positive impact on the communities we serve.

Responsibilities
  • Design of HVAC and plumbing systems, including calculations, layouts, sizing, equipment selections, specification, and coordination.
  • Drawing development using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Perform code reviews.
  • Shop drawing and submittal review and processing.
  • Quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
  • Project management and client interaction.
  • Assist with mentoring junior technicians and engineers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 1+ year post-grad experience required.
  • Prior commercial plumbing design experience as an engineering MEP intern or HVAC/Plumbing internship preferred.
  • EIT required.
  • Experience with architectural projects such as schools, municipal buildings, health care facilities, and commercial buildings required.
  • Prior experience coordinating a project from start to finish with both contractors, clients, and other disciplines preferred.
  • Experience with Revit required.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills required for fast-paced and multi-tasking environment with the ability to coordinate this information across disciplines.
  • This position requires authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.
