Chief Cost Estimator Job Description

This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of high-profile construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mentoring, training, technical and administrative direction to the estimating staff.
  • Ensure corporate objectives and Code of Conduct are always met.
  • Identify projects to bid, estimate staff scheduling, performance evaluations, outreach to trade partners, business development, and contribute to our win strategy and marketing.
  • Assist corporate and project management to determine what types of projects to bid, strategies, techniques, etc.
  • Prepare studies, materials, and methods, development and maintenance of cost and production archives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the construction community.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5-years of heavy civil construction field experience and 10-years of Heavy/Civil estimating experience. Proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid estimating software is required.

A Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience in WWTP, Dams/Hydro, Transportation, Marine Structures is also preferred.
