About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our General Surgery team at The George Washington University Hospital. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including laparoscopic cholecystectomies, tracheostomies, kidney and liver transplants, and trauma patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-focused nursing care to patients with various surgical needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in unit-based quality initiatives and evidence-based research to enhance patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
Qualifications
  • Current RN license in good standing with state licensing board
  • BSN required or enrollment and completion of BSN within 5 years
  • Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience in an acute care setting
  • BLS certification (ACLS within 3 months of hire)
