Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the Patient Care Team, responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit.

The RN delegates tasks that can be performed by others, supervises as appropriate, assists in maintaining a safe environment for effective nursing care, provides education to patients and families, and collaborates with other health professionals in the planning and management of healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process

Requirements
  • Current Maine RN license required
  • Basic Life Support certification required
  • Graduate of an approved Nursing program required
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained before completion of orientation
