Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary:

Amwaste is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining the engine and equipment on our waste collection trucks, ensuring they are in good working condition and providing courteous service to our drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with vehicle and equipment operations
Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment according to standard schedules
Adjust, repair, or replace parts and equipment as needed
Maintain a safe and tidy shop, and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition

Requirements:

Knowledge of vehicle and equipment operation and maintenance principles
Skills in the use of tools and equipment used in the maintenance of vehicles and equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
