About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Child Welfare Specialist to join our team at the Robeson County Department of Social Services. In this critical role, you will work with families and children to provide support and guidance in times of need.
Job Summary
The Child Welfare Specialist is responsible for providing intensive services to families and children, including case management, counseling, and connecting them with community resources. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide case management services to families and children, including assessment, planning, and intervention.
- Conduct home visits and other assessments to determine the needs of families and children.
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address the needs of families and children.
- Connect families and children with community resources, such as healthcare services, educational programs, and social services.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, as required by state and federal guidelines.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work.
- Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative (Child Welfare positions only).
- Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and one year of directly related experience.
- Master's degree in counseling in a human services field and one year of social work or counseling.
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and two years directly related experience.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of directly related experience.
Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 per year, based on education and experience.
