Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Training Specialist to provide technical training and instructional services for Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific (EWTGP). The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of USMC/USN instructor courses and curriculum development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Instructor Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience as an Instructor with Expeditionary/Joint Fires, Curriculum Developer, Curriculum Administrator, and Instructor.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Possess extensive USMC/USN instructor knowledge based on a background which includes graduation from the Navy and Marine Corps basic instructor courses and curriculum development courses.
  • Integrated Training Environment: Extensive experience working with curriculum in an integrated Navy/Marine Corps training environment.
  • Communication Skills: Represent the command at various conferences and meetings on matters under the cognizance of the N9 Learning Standards Directorate and in support of the command mission and goals.
  • Project Management: Ability to operate independently, planning, scheduling, and executing projects and programs.
  • Instructional Products: Deliver professional, complete, accurate, and standardized instructional products.
  • Action Orientation: Perceive emerging problems and take appropriate action.
  • Technical Skills: Enter curriculum into the Authoring Instructional Material (AIM) and the Marine Corps Training Instructional Management System (MCTIMS) authoring systems.
  • Training Delivery: Train military instructors in the use of command-directed authoring systems (AIM/MCTIMS).
  • Critical Thinking: High degree of judgment, resourcefulness, originality, and ability to foresee the impact of changing technology on Programs of Instruction.
  • Data Management: Enter data and run reports from Navy and Marine Corps training databases (CeTARs/MCTIMS).
  • Travel Requirements: Occasional travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft (< 5% of the time and most often within a 50-mile commuting distance to support training at bases within the Southwest region).
