Business Development Representative

The Account Executive plays a pivotal role in the Hubbard Broadcasting Sales team, fostering new business relationships and delivering tailored marketing and sales strategies to clients. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses, guiding clients through effective sales and marketing solutions, and selling a comprehensive range of Hubbard Broadcasting products and platforms serving southern Minnesota and northern Iowa.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) include meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, as well as prospecting new businesses on a weekly basis. The ideal candidate will prepare and deliver sales presentations to decision-makers, incorporating customer needs analysis, research, and supporting documentation. Timely follow-up and closure of pending business are essential, with regular updates provided to the Sales Manager.
Collaboration with other departments is crucial in creating effective promotional sales solutions for clients, while providing exceptional customer service to direct and agency accounts. The Account Executive will personally contact each active account, ensuring timely payment and effective credit management. Utilization of sales software and proficiency in completing written business requirements within established deadlines are also essential.
Additional responsibilities include attending and participating in weekly sales staff meetings, individual meetings with the manager, and other necessary meetings and training as required by management. A thorough understanding of rates, promotions, inventory, and personnel is necessary, as well as a commitment to ongoing learning and staying abreast of trends in the digital and broadcast advertising industry.
Regular, reliable attendance and a cooperative working style are essential, with a focus on building strong working relationships with colleagues, customers, vendors, and the general public. Other duties may be assigned as needed by management.
