Job Summary

Neuro Pathway LLC is seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team. As an EEG Specialist, you will be responsible for performing neurodiagnostic procedures in our laboratory, at the bedside, in critical care units, and in the surgical suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and maintain competency in electroencephalograms, portable inpatient EEG's, ambulatory EEG monitoring, and EEG monitoring during intracarotid Sodium Amytal procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams and perform procedures, gathering comprehensive patient histories and information from patient records and family members.
  • Explain test procedures to patients and family members, and perform procedures according to laboratory standards.
  • Recognize patient or environmental artifact, document, eliminate, or take proper measures to monitor the artifact.
  • Devise and standardize neurodiagnostic tests for clinic use, and perform intraoperative monitoring with supervision.
  • Assist physicians in outpatient department clinics with Nerve Conduction Studies and EMGs as needed.
  • Perform Cerebral Death Evaluation studies, and troubleshoot equipment problems and repair or report to supervisor immediately.
Requirements
  • Electroencephalographic Technologist registration (R EEG T) issued by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) needs to be obtained within 1 year.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months.
  • High School Graduate, graduation from a neurodiagnostic education program preferred.
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in a Neurodiagnostic Tech role.
Working Conditions

The position requires travel, and may be exposed to road and weather hazards. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
