About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced CNC Machinist Specialist to join our team at Kyocera International, Inc. in Vancouver, WA.

Job Overview

This is a 2nd shift position with a competitive salary of $27-$35 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain a wide range of CNC machines, including CNC Mills, Lathes, and Vertical Machining Centers, to produce high-quality parts.
  • Set up and run machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjusting machine controls or indicators as needed.
  • Measure, mark, and/or scribe dimensions and reference points on parts, reviewing technique cards and customer-specific work orders continuously for changes.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines to maintain precise tolerances.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine controls.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 8+ years of CNC experience or on-the-job training to include completion of a 2-year Machine Technology certificate.
  • Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, including decimal fractions.
  • Vision and depth perception suitable for use of inspection microscopes.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
