Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Janitorial Area Manager to join our team at Diversified Maintenance-RWS, LLC. The successful candidate will oversee the overall coordination and supervision of district and project managers, as well as individual sites.

About the Role

The Area Manager is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through the delivery of quality service within established budgets. This role requires a strong leadership presence, with the ability to motivate, train, and develop team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit and train hourly team members to ensure accounts are properly staffed according to contract specifications.
  • Understand and champion the company's strategic principles, core values, and people culture.
  • Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and ensure accounts stay within labor budgets.
  • Conduct new hire orientation, safety training, job training, and other essential programs to empower employees.
  • Prepare and review required paperwork, including time sheets, accident reports, new hire paperwork, employee training records, work orders, equipment, and supply orders.
  • Create open lines of communication by addressing employee relations problems, coaching, and counseling employees to achieve success.
  • Establish relationships with customers by visiting accounts regularly to ensure high-quality service.
  • Resolve problems and complaints promptly to maintain the highest customer satisfaction possible.
  • Document customer contacts and concerns on an ongoing basis, assisting with follow-through to ensure issues are resolved.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A business-level English proficiency in verbal and written communication.
  • Two to three years of management experience in a related field, with janitorial industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing environments, and possess a customer service mindset.
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Leadership effectiveness, ability to motivate, train, and develop team members.
  • Certain special skill knowledge and pertinent techniques relevant to the work assignment, such as carpet care and cleaning, floor care chemicals, and operation of floor care equipment.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • A valid state driver's license and reliable transportation to fulfill duties requiring significant travel between accounts.
Estimated Salary

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
