Mechanical Engineer II

The Mechanical Engineer II is a key member of our product development team, responsible for driving the successful introduction of REP's products. This role requires a strong background in design and manufacturing, with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions to meet deadlines in a dynamic and rapidly growing organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead assigned projects to completion with full ownership and minimal oversight.
- Create detailed CAD models in SolidWorks, including part and assembly level designs.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to define customer requirements and develop product specifications.
- Schedule and lead effective meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project completion.
- Develop a strong voice when working with manufacturing partners to communicate design intent and quality expectations.
- Perform tolerance analysis on critical-to-function design elements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Complete invention disclosure forms for intellectual property review and ensure proper documentation of design decisions.
- Visit manufacturers at suitable times to review prototypes and samples, project/product schedule, and quality control processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of engineering experience, with a demonstrated track record of excellence in product design and development in consumer products.
- Strong knowledge of SolidWorks, PDM, Microsoft Office, MathCAD, and 3D printing.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts, such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations, to engineering problems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
