Job Summary
The Staff Radiation Therapist is a vital member of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality radiation therapy and imaging procedures to patients with malignancies and pain.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiation therapy and imaging procedures, ensuring accurate delivery of prescribed treatment plans.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists to maintain prescribed standards and treatment protocols.
- Provide patient education and monitor patients for unusual reactions and events.
- Participate in student teaching, oversight, and supervision, promoting quality assessment activities and education.
Requirements
- 2-Year College Degree or equivalent education/experience.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy Technology.
- Licensed by the State of Ohio through the Ohio Department of Health in Radiation Therapy.
- 2+ years of Radiation Therapy experience.
