Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Brain Health Unit. This role is responsible for providing safe, age-appropriate patient care and serving as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.

About Levindale

Levindale is a 330-bed facility located in Baltimore that offers a full continuum of post-acute services to help patients regain function and vitality after a life-altering illness or injury. Our hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

The Brain Health Unit

The Brain Health Unit is part of our specialty hospital at Levindale and is designed to provide a safe environment for older patients with neurocognitive disorders and medical co-morbidities. The unit has a total bed capacity of 60 and is staffed by a multidisciplinary team that includes nurses, geriatric nursing assistants, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and document initial and ongoing assessments to identify individual patient needs
  • Develop and document plans of care for selected patients and families
  • Implement, document, and provide care and education based on plans of care
  • Evaluate and document outcomes of nursing practice
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 1 year experience as a licensed RN and hold current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. You must also possess a Maryland Registered Nurse License and have basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Cerner.
