Comprehensive Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Comprehensive Mental Health Specialist to join our team at JFS, Inc. This role will provide comprehensive social services and activities that support and enhance the mental and emotional health of agency clients, prospective clients, and members of the community.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
Job DescriptionThis is a full-time position that involves providing counseling and psychotherapy services to individuals, families, and children, including intake assessments and diagnostic evaluation of clients. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of DSM V diagnosis and trauma-sensitive treatment modalities, as well as an understanding of various theoretical approaches, group process, and client advocacy.
The Comprehensive Mental Health Specialist will also be responsible for providing information and referrals to resources as needed, maintaining essential client records and statistical data in compliance with agency and State regulations, and collaborating with agency personnel, volunteers, and professionals from other agencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Possesses knowledge of DSM V diagnosis and trauma-sensitive treatment modalities
- Understanding of various theoretical approaches, group process, and client advocacy
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable vehicle

Other RequirementsThe successful candidate must successfully pass a criminal background check (Fingerprint ID check for VOCA clinicians) with the Wisconsin Department of Justice and a caregiver background check with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the Department of Children and Families, and the Department Safety and Professional Services. Additionally, they must pass a Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender and Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry screening.
